The green and olive tint has been taken out of the rooms. Backgrounds, paper, borders, little displays, and the light around the edges are back to neutral shades.
The photographs and the street outside keep their own colors. Nothing has moved; the light is just a little clearer now.
an address book by the computer
The rooms have an address book now. There are a couple of places beyond this street, a random door if you don't know where to begin, and a little shelf of things to fold and keep.
The homepage's midnight directory opens real destinations. Some rooms also have a note pointing to the one next door. You can still take the long way around.
the neighborhood, in little pieces
The after-hours archive is open: a building directory, the last bus, four photographs, notices, the band room, and a notebook about the sea.
There is a window on the homepage that looks into the building. The archive's reading surfaces have also been quieted down. The paper can keep its edges without getting in the way of the words.
RSS keeps these notes in a reader of your choosing. Copy the feed address into its subscription box; there is no mailing list.
